From John Alexander Kennedy on Apr 13, 2017 12:58:20
My name is John Alexander Kennedy,I am a nephew of Alex Angus and I was just made aware of this site. My uncle was the youngest brother of my father John Murdoch Kennedy. I was told that uncle Alex lied about his age in order to join the Canadian Army, as a lot of soldiers did then. My children, Alex and daughter Stephanie who are 18 and 16 respectfully just left uncle Alex's gravesite and eere able to take photographs and leave a poppy. They were honoured to visit the site. My sister Jackie visited the grave site a few years back. I would just like say that we are all very proud of our uncle and would have loved to meet him. You wonder how some people rcan efer to sports personalities as heros when cemetaries all over the world are full of our true heros...and I include those heros who returned from war but will never be the same. Thank you uncle Alex.
