William Gittings was my mothers brother. He was 20 years old when he was listed as MIA.  She has just recently received his medals from a relative, along with letters and a hanky he had sent his Mom.  I visited Runnymede Memorial a few years ago and saw his name listed among so many others. He was in the 408 Squadron of the RCAF. He is always remembered.
