 Charles Gordon Webster was the son of Anthony Webster and Clara Ann Bell. He was born 5 June 1897 in Stratford, Ontario. At the time of enlistment he was a student in Kingston, Ontario. His attestation papers list him as being in the 50th Queens Battery, C.E.F.
