Good luck with that. War Diaries are great when trying to determine specific information......but to “read” them......not as exciting. Some (it all depended on the writer) read “like a book”.....others, dry information about the weather or just not a lot of information that really tells you anything, especially if the unit was a “behind the lines” (support unit)
Also, these files are NOT just war diairies. They contain all types of “field returns’, Part 1 or Part 2 Daily orders.....ops orders, after action reports...a lot of information. Some which is fantastic to read and some which are “numbers” (which depending on what your researching, can be very helpful)
