Hi all,

Quick question, there are a few spots in my peperes paperwork that have s.o.s listed, im assuming this doesnt hold the same meaning as lets say ships would send out as a distress signal? Correct?

Correct Jess, SOS means "Struck Off Strength".....which means he has effectively "left" a unit. Then the next item in his records should be TOS which means "Taken On Strength", which means he has "arrived" at a new unit and is part of that organization.

So, when he left a unit, he was SOS......when he joined a unit, he was TOS
