Well, my "gut' was wrong.........found this article when he was "wounded" (or injured as this says)......and he was with a "Central Ontario Regiment".....so he wasn't with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders........he may have been with one of the other Highland units.....but let me see if I can find anything

Wow. I have been trying to find info for months and haven't found anything on his injury. Thank you!!!!! He was shot in the leg, he used to tease us that he lost an inch off his height because of his knee. Sure wish I had thought to ask questions while he was still here.

Now that we've narrowed it down a bit, I've been looking at the hat badge and I 'THINK' (again my best guess) it may be the hat badge of THE STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY HIGHLANDERS

His a picture of the badge.....just a best guess right now

Im sure my aunt has a hat that he used to wear anytime he went into the school for Remembrance day. Im certain thee was a medal on it...if I attach a link there is video montage of photos. He is in some army stuff, might give you hints? Not sure if his veteran gear woukd be specific enough.

His Hat Badge photo would be excellent. I watched the video and their is one photo (attached below) that if we had a high rez copy may tell us his regiment. His Hat Badge is clearly visiable on this photo, plus his shoulder, where his units "shoulder title" should be their.

Plus the patch on his shoulder (square patch over rank badges) tell us his Division......but as it's black and white, we can't confirm this.

I ran some of the names by my memere, keeping in mind shes 94, a couple sound familiar but she said she cant be sure. My aunt is out of town so as soon as she is home Ill get a photo of the badge on his hat. Probably a long shot but ill find out if his uniform is still around.
