Default William King Evans 1899 1968 WW1

Canadian Army. Bill born in St John's NFLD. I have a card saying he was in the AMC I think stands for Army Medical Corps. Grandmother told me he left St John NFLD. He did enlist in Nova Scotia with a highland regiment that did not wear kilts. May have been with the the 85th? Nova Scotia Highlanders also The 85th Overseas Battalion. I have his service pin for" Service The Front" and the numbered card that goes with that pin with his name . I can not find him in the attestation papers. Or the 85th records. Any ideas on where to look next? Thank you, Ron Cairns Kitchener ON
