Post Alfred Norman Rosen

I am trying to trace the father of a friend who was formerly a gold miner (which sounds exciting) but joined the Princess Louise Dragoon Guards in the war and came to London. He was Alfred Norman Rosen and his Army No. was K75475. He was born c 1921/22.

At 21 and in the Canadian Army he married Mary O'Donoghue (born 1920/21) in Marylebone London in 1943. His address then was 184, Marylebone Road, London NW1. His last address was Star Street, London W2 in 1945.
I assume he was on active service in WW2.

Any help in trying to track him down is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

His Regimental Number tells me that he joined from Military District 11, which means he joined the Army in British Columbia.

I've tried to search the Annual Report of the Minister of Mines of the Province of British Columbia to see if his name is there. No luck so far.

Here's the link to all the reports (you can download each year). They list the owner or agent of all mining claims (including type of ore) from 1874 to 2001

Hello - I'm Alfred's grandson. Please let me know if you're still looking and what you'd like to know.

Thanks.

My grandfather's second service I believe was with the Dragoons... do you have an image of your grandfather from his service time? I am trying to identify some people in images I have.
